The Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History Announces All-New Exhibit

(Corpus Christi, TX- April 14, 2014) The Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History is unveiling an all-new exhibit, Tolerance: Remember the Past – Improve Our Future, on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 from 10am to 5pm. To coincide with National Genocide Awareness month, Tolerance provides a look into man’s inhumanity to the fellow man and the evolution of acceptance over time. From race to culture to belief, humans have been punishing the different for thousands of years. But for all who suffer for their differences, there are others for whom their suffering is a call to action. This exhibit exposes the persecution of those that look, pray, or love differently than others, as well as the progress that has been made over time to create a more accepting future. The exhibit tells the story of survival and of triumph over unthinkable odds. Through photographs and oral histories, “Tolerance: Remember the Past—Improve Our Future” hopes to inspire tolerance and acceptance, and recognize the value each of us brings to our community, not in spite of our differences, but because of them.

The Corpus Christi Museum of Science & History is open Tuesday – Saturday from 10am to 5pm and Sunday from 12pm to 5pm. General admission prices before tax: Adults: $9; Seniors: $7 and Active Military (w/ID): $4.50 Children under 2: Free; Members: Free.
