The Museum is the perfect place to host your wedding, birthday, corporate event, holiday party, or whatever event you’re planning. Meeting rooms are also available for rent.

We Have Event Planning Down to a Science

The Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History with 45,000+ sq. ft. of indoor space and 50,000 sq. ft. of outdoor space, can be the ideal setting for your next EVENT no matter what type of event you’re planning, the Corpus Christi  Museum Staff will work with you, to ensure your event’s success.   1. Each rental time period is from 10:00am – 5:00pm
  2. Extended Hours Fee:
    1. Prior to 10:00am:  $50/hour
    2. After 5:00pm:  $175/hour

Cost:

$300 for up to 20 guests

Birthday Child is Free. All adults and children (ages 3 and older) are included in the total headcount.

$16.66 for each additional guest

Museum Members receive 10% Discount

Includes:

All-day admission to Museum for all guests

2 hours use of the party room with free entry and roam of Museum (Museum hours only)

Food & Drink: 2 slices pizza/person

20 Capri Suns & 20 Bottled waters

Buy one/get one coupon on a return visit (expires 1 year from event date)

DELUXE PARTY PACKAGE (LEVEL 2)

Cost:

$550 for up to 30 guests

Birthday Child and 1 Guardian are Free. All adults and children (ages 3 and older) are included in the total headcount.

$18 for each additional guest

Includes:

All-day admission to Museum for all guests

2 hours use of the party room with free entry and roam of Museum (Museum hours only)

Food & Drink: 2 slices of pizza/person

The Renter may provide:

➢ Birthday dessert, cake and party favors

➢ Decorations are limited to table decorations and/or freestanding displays or signs. Any decorations hung on the wall must be hung up with painter’s tape ONLY

➢ Renter is allowed in the room 30 minutes prior for setup

Not allowed: Helium balloons or live animals (except for service animals). No plant materials. Cut flowers must be from a florist. No outside food or drink. No confetti or glitter.

➢ Party Favors: Make your own 6” Pucker Powder: $2 each

➢ Large 1 topping pizza: $12 (requires 24 hr. notice)

➢ Scavenger Fact Hunt: $20 (for 25 guests)  The scavenger hunt is ten multiple choice questions that lead the players to all corners of the Museum. This includes         one paper & pencil per child, answer sheet with clues for adults, and a prize for each participant.

➢ Gemstone & Fossil Mining:  $4.99 each – Use our Sluicer Machine to mine gems & fossils (Only 4 children allowed at the mining station at one time.)

➢ Science Show: $100

 

Science Experiments/Crafts: (30 min.): $3 per / person – minimum of 20 

Slime:

Get your hands a bit messy with our non-Newtonian slime. Learn about sheer force and impact with this funky liquid.

Thinking Putty: 

What do you do with Thinking Putty?  Just about anything you can think of.  Use your imagination to color it, make it shimmer, make it sparkle and glow-ify it.  Up to 20 Children.  $3 for each additional Putty

Making Catapults: 

With just a few supplies and a bit of know-how, create an ancient siege weapon to take home!

Chemistry – CO2 Balloon: 

Join our educators in creating an endothermic reaction in a balloon. This reaction is safe to perform, and lets children feel the science happening.

Dinosaur Plane: 

Learn about the might Pteranodon and then make a small one. This fun and simple craft can even fly!

Sand Art: 

With your choice of a shaped bottle or magnet, make art with sand.  Up to 10 children can participate at one time.  $3 per additional sand art.

Notes:

No outside food or drink may be brought into the museum.  Catering is available through our approved catering list. Unique or extensive set-up or clean up may incur additional fees. Please provide your meeting and set-up needs at least 1 week prior to the scheduled event.

Payment:

Prepayment in full is required to secure an event.

Payment by credit card or check made out to: Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History.

 

Cancellations must be in writing and 30 days prior to the event for a full refund.  No refunds for cancellations less than 30 days out.
