Weather Fest 2026 presented by AEP Texas

The Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History invite you to Weather Fest, presented by AEP Texas! Join us Saturday, May 30, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Enjoy $1 admission all day.

Weather Fest will feature a day full of weather-related learning, hands-on activities, and family-friendly fun. Guests can explore the AEP Mobile Unit, get an up-close look at AEP drones, and connect with the KIII-TV Weather Team at the “Color Your Weather” station. Meteorologists will also be on-site for a live Q&A panel, answering questions about weather and forecasting.

Visitors are invited to engage with community partners and learn more about weather preparedness and the impact of these organizations across the Coastal Bend.

Participating partners include:

  • Texas Master Naturalists – Education on water conservation, the butterfly life cycle, and aquatic ecosystems
  • South Texas Amateur Radio Club – Emergency response equipment and communication techniques
  • Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi Atmospheric Science Program – Insights into regional weather and climate.
  • Texas Sealife Center – Explore marine wildlife conservation through hands-on outreach featuring sea turtle rescue education, rehabilitation tools, and live animal ambassadors including a red-footed tortoise and corn snake.
  • NOAA National Weather Service – Behind-the-scenes look at forecasting, warnings, and climate services for the Coastal Bend
