Event Details:
A high-noon Moon is coming! The Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History and Valero present the Valero Eclipse Extravaganza! It’s a day filled with one-of-a-kind activities and programs to celebrate this one-of-a-kind celestial event. (Safety glasses will be provided for the first 1100 guests.) The eclipse will arc directly over the Museum a few minutes before noon. The Corpus Christi Astronomical Society, the Museum’s celestial partner, will focus their telescope on the stellar event. And from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the Museum’s science educators (staff and volunteers) will present STEM-focused experiments and demonstrations including solar ovens, solar slime, galaxy jars, and chemistry ice cream. See water rocket demonstrations at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m., and 3:30 p.m.
